Topics Covered in Phase 1
Topic 1: Addressing people appropriately and Greetings!
You’ll learn the art of Vietnamese greetings, personal pronouns, and numbers up to 100. This topic also introduces you to exchanging personal information and the foundational tones of Vietnamese.
Topic 2: Ordering food & drinks – language used at the restaurant and on delivery apps!
Expand your vocabulary with words for food and drinks, and practice using larger numbers. You’ll also learn how to make calls and navigate restaurant conversations.
Topic 3: Making arrangements
We’ll cover asking for and telling time, discussing daily activities, and making social invitations.
Topic 4: Going shopping
Dive into shopping in Vietnam with vocabulary for clothes, describing objects, and bargaining skills.
Topic 5: Exploring the Town – Useful language for Grab rides
Learn to talk about places in town, use prepositions, travel with Grabbike, and ask for directions.
