After laying the groundwork in Phase 1, Phase 2 of our Vietnamese Survival Course will take your language abilities to the next level. This phase is designed for those who have mastered the basics and are ready to delve deeper into the Vietnamese way of life.

Topics Covered in Phase 2
Topic 6: Household Chores
Learn vocabulary related to household chores, and how to offer and ask for help in a domestic setting. Here you can find useful language to talk to your cleaners and helpers.
Topic 7: Health and Well-being
Understand how to discuss body parts and sickness, and the language needed for a visit to the doctor, including the passive voice (BỊ).
Topic 8: At the Barber shop
Pick up the vocabulary you’ll need at a barber shop and practice the language commonly used in this local setting.
Topic 9: Have you seen my wallet?
Expand your range of vocabulary with furniture and more prepositions, and learn to ask, “Do you happen to see my…?”
Topic 10: Have you ever been to Ha Giang?
Discuss transportation, ask “Have you ever…?”, and learn to construct conditional sentences.
Topic 11: I had a terrible day!
Explore more verbs and actions, and understand the two types of passive voice in Vietnamese: BỊ and ĐƯỢC to express negative and positive feelings.
Topic 12: House Hunting
Learn the parts of a house and the language for apartment hunting, including the phrase CHỈ … THÔI.
Topic 13: He’s a very kind man!
Use more adjectives to describe places and people, and phrases like “I heard that…” and “Not only… but also…”
